Parental Agreements

Parental Agreements

As a parent or guardian, I understand that I am required to volunteer at meets and/or other events throughout the season to obtain a minimum of 29 volunteer points. I understand that it is my responsibility to sign up for volunteer jobs on the website and maintain my volunteer schedule for the duration of the season. If I need to remove a job due to a schedule conflict, I will REMOVE my job sign up from the website.

As parent or guardian, I understand that one person from my account MUST volunteer for ONE (1) volunteer job/shift at our DIVISIONAL MEET at the Brushy Creek on June 27th. This may be above and beyond the 29 point requirement depending on the number of families attending Divisional meet.

As a parent or guardian, I understand that I may only register my own children under my account. I understand that cousins and/or friends must create their own account upon registering.

As parent or guardian, I understand that my child/ren are expected to attend swim meets in addition to practices.

If my swimmer has an UNEXPECTED meet absence (after Sunday meet entry deadlines), I will report an absence for the meet immediately via the absence link on the website.

If my swimmer CANNOT attend a portion of a meet due to a schedule conflict (for example: can't stay for afternoon relays due to piano recital or other family event), I will report an absence for that portion of the meet on the meet registration declaration by the deadline.

Volunteer Agreement

Membership on the Anderson Mill Barracudas Team requires that all families, whether scholarship or non-scholarship, fulfill the volunteer requirements set per family. We have established a minimum volunteer point requirement; however, it is our desire that you would be willing to volunteer above your minimum should the need arise.

There are two components to the 'Cudas Volunteer Requirement:

1.All accounts must work the minimum volunteer requirement per family.

2.All accounts must work a volunteer position divisional meet weekend (Divisional Meet or End of Season party) above and beyond the minimum volunteer requirement, if necessary.

The 2020 Volunteer Points Requirement is: 29 points/Family account

A family failing to complete the Volunteer Points Requirement may not be permitted to re-register for the Barracudas swim team for the following season without AMST Board approval. Please let us know in advance if you need help earning volunteer points or have extenuating circumstances. We are happy to help!

Scholarship Families must earn a minimum of 33 points/swimmer (40 points maximum/family). Failure to earn the Volunteer Point Requirement may result in being invoiced for the Scholarship award portion of the registration fees. The invoice, if assessed, must be paid promptly upon receipt.

Joining the Anderson Mill Barracudas Swim Team requires a commitment not only from the swimmers but from the parents as well. Please consider this commitment outlined above prior to registering for the Barracudas swim team. The swim season involves all parent volunteers working together for the Barracudas to be a successful and competitive swim team; therefore, we do not offer a volunteer buy-out option. Each home meet requires approximately 250 volunteers to ensure that the meet runs smoothly. Volunteer point minimums will fluctuate from season to season depending on the number of meets in our schedule, as well as the number of registrations.

Volunteers may sign up for volunteer positions via the website per meet/event.

If you have questions about any of the volunteer positions or the volunteer requirements, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteer@SwimCudas.org.
